Crossing The Bridge To The Height of Fashion. . . . .

Finally an event highlighting international fashion comes to Brooklyn. The International Designer Show hits the runway on October 22, bringing with it some of the most outstanding fashion design talent from nations across the globe who will show their spring/summer 2007 collections.

The International Designers:

Jay Wilson - London (The Tyler Media/Children Are The Future Youth Award recipient) An exceptional 18 year old student of St Martins, Jay is already following in the footsteps of his idol John Galliano and has two collections under his belt.

Gavin Douglas - London (Fashion Fringe winner at London Fashion Week, September 2006) This past fashion week in London Gavin received some high praises from the Industry insiders including Tom Ford, who said that "Gavin is a cut above Fashion'

Nana Boateng - Ghana (his last name alone is synonymous with excellence), Sony Pictures Entertainment provided the catalyst for Nana Boateng's West Coast success. The relationship forged at the film conglomerate enabled extensive exposure for the Akua Adoma line, through costuming for major films such as Spider Man and The Gospel. Nana's Clientele includes celebrities such as Samuel L Jackson, Chris Tucker, Boris Kojoe and Tobey Maguire.

Cooyah - Jamaica. This design team has already built a celebrity clientele, which includes Rihanna, Sean Paul, Damien Marley and others for their outstanding rootz designs.

The International Designer Show will be held at BK Sugar a trendy loft space located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, an area long known as the destination of style for downtown fashionistas and trendsetters.

Brooklyn is fast becoming a creative hub bringing together originality and creativity that is reaching far and wide The international Designer show will contribute to the beauty that lies in the cultural diversity that exists in Brooklyn. The International Designer Show will give this culturally diverse group of designers a place to showcase their unique style.

Produced and presented by Tyler Media and BK Style Foundation, the International Designer Show was created by Tyler Media's Christie Dinham. The show stems from the successful launch of BK Fashion Week{end} in May 2006, a three-day event featuring the best of local talent in the borough. The event received rave reviews from outlets such as the New York Times, New York Daily News, the Village Voice and News 12, Brooklyn.

Like the BK Fashion Week{end} the International Designer Show promises to be a hit attended by invited guests celebrities, members of print and broadcast press, retail buyers, fashionistas, and Brooklyn community leaders.
