Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Announces Schedule

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios announced its lineup of designers showing as part of the Spring 2007 Collections. The event, produced by sports, entertainment and media giant IMG and Smashbox Studios, will feature LA's premier designers as well as some of the city's most promising talent.

Kicking off the schedule on Sunday, October 15 is Thrive followed by Balans, Sue Wong, Evisu, Meghan and closing the opening night will be Louis Verdad. Day two of the shows includes collections by Candice Held, Single, Metro 7, Kushcush by Kerry Cushman, Corey Lynn Calter, Morphine Generation, Shay Todd and Frankie B. Day three continues with the Italian Trade Commission presents: Grimaldi Giardina and Lidia Cardinale and collections by Tart, Alan Del Rosario, Dina Bar-El, and LA favorite Jennifer Nicholson. Day four features collections by Joseph Domingo, Samora, Chan Luu, Sheri Bodell, Elsie Katz Couture, Life & Death and COLLECTION bebe. The final day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios wraps up with Voom by Joy Han, Uriel Saenz, Ashley Paige, Yana K, Kelly Nishimoto and Kevan Hall.

Joining Mercedes-Benz this season as Official Sponsors of the event are Smashbox Cosmetics, HER2 Genes, Aquafina, Cingular Wireless, Judith Ripka, Cotton Incorporated, Continental Airlines, Benjamin Moore, EFFEN Vodka, Gran Centenario Tequila, Peroni, Luxe Hotel Sunset Boulevard, 944 Magazine and T The New York Times Style Magazine.

IMG Fashion, through its partnership with IMG Media, will produce and distribute highlights of every designers runway show and features surrounding the weeks exciting events via a network of domestic and international new media carriers. In the US full coverage of the Spring 2007 collections will be available on MSN Video and cell phones with Cingular Wireless service. Internationally, designers will be featured on carriers such as Sina in China, Terra US Hispanic and Latin America and M6Web in France.
