H FREDRIKSSON
The Spring/Summer 2007 H FREDRIKSSON collection has the look and feel of a glossy oil painting on an antique wall at sunset in a Bergman movie. Shiny and matte silk in black, grey, stunning gold and a sensuous olive are intertwined with custom silhouette printed silk derived from designer Helena Fredriksson's original photography. The collection takes a bold leap this season on the heels of its most successful year since launching in 2002.
2006 has been a landmark year for the H Fredriksson collection. Fredriksson designed a series of custom dresses for Scissor Sister's vocalist Ana Matronic for the band's massive upcoming tour. A successful collaboration with Acura had the designer create a full installation and a soundtrack for their new luxury model. Notably, H Fredriksson was chosen as a featured collection at GenArt's esteemed Alumni group show at the Roosevelt hotel. The capacity audience at the Roosevelt received her sculpted coats, floating gowns and nature-in-the-dark inspired palette with roaring approval.
Maintaining a strong connection with the natural hues of her native Sweden, sculpted cuts in midnight black, sunset gold, olive and nude define the collection's palette and silhouette. Vintage prints on piccolo jackets/vests and hidden details give the pieces a personal, secret and timeless feel.
The collection's foundation is black and ecru tailored large collared jackets, high-waisted skirts, shorts and pants. For Spring/Summer 2007 Fredriksson emphasizes the elegance of her line with long sweeping dresses and distinct elongating pleats that add a luxurious, classic feel.
Wide cut dresses and tops in white and cream with contrasting lace details give the collection air, breath and confidence.
H FREDRIKSSON is carried in Japan, Sweden, Greece and throughout the USA.
