Joynoelle's Spring 2007 Collection

Joynoelle

This season, inspiration for Joynoelle's Spring 2007 Collection is drawn from the most unusual of places. Stimulated by nature, birds and flowers outside Joy's window influenced many of her elaborate designs for Spring. Such an unconventional vision has been translated into a memorable demi-couture collection that captures a woman's individual beauty. Ethereal floor sweeping gowns incorporate innovative draping in dynamic palettes of metallic copper, embroidered emerald satin and iridescent silver. Delicate crimson roses are cleverly embellished on spaghetti straps, while subtle ruching of the fabric effortlessly emphasizes the shape of the female silhouette.

Inspiration is also drawn circa the 1940's and 50's utilizing geometric prints in hints of sailor blue, cream and cherry. Luxurious fitted coats make a statement with ornate details including exaggerated button closures and pleated skirting in refreshing shades of lilac, lemon meringue, crimson and cobalt. Joynoelle's Spring 2007 Collection represents everyday glamour that any woman can interpret as her own while gracefully enchanting those around her.

Joynoelle
Joynoelle is the signature line of Minneapolis based designer, Joy Teiken. From its inception in 2002, Joynoelle's collection of couture garments has taken inspiration from classic lines, lush and fabulous fabrics, and playful details. The finest new and vintage fabrics are used to create one-of-a-kind or limited-run garments. From her first design, a beret for her mother who was undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer, Joy has used fashion to capture and express women's individual beauty. The Joynoelle customer loves attention. She knows she is wearing something unique, something that shows personality and makes her feel special. With her mother's spirit guiding her, Joy continues to create beautiful, feminine garments that showcase a woman's best features. "I believe that each piece in my collection has a personality and each piece of fabric tells a story. Since I am keenly aware of vintage styles and modern fabrics, each texture guides me and tells me what to do. A finished Joynoelle product is a celebration of the female form, one that follows her curves and makes her look stunning. It's for people who want something special, original. Something that brings attention, because these pieces do draw quite a bit of attention. My customers don't have to fit within a certain age but they do need to have a certain personality - My collection vision has never changed. Essentially it's wearable couture. I think the idea of this experiment: one-of-a-kind and limited run pieces- is incredibly worthwhile and could be an effective avenue for designers who do not possess the financial backing to ever appear within the right retail outlets." - Joy Teiken, designer, Joynoelle.
