Olympus Fashion Week welcomed Dragana Ognjenovic's classy silhouettes to the runway with much anticipation for the native Serbia's premiere New York collection. In speaking with Dragana, she revealed that despite her first career as a painter in Belgrade, she is not interested in mixing art with fashion. This is one of the many examples how Dragana dares to be different than other designers, choosing her own path, and purposefully appealing to the more intellectual side of fashion. In fact, she designs for smart conscious women with the ability to choose. Her models personified her vision flawlessly with tightly tied side braids and strong walks that matched the intense pumping music. While her pieces are almost all notably black, it is her exploration of detail that made each separate incredibly personal. From the high neck patch pocket coat to the ruffled neck zip jacket, her pristine tailoring remains unmatched. Intricate ribbon and flower detail on many of the dresses looked divine. Die-hard American admirers are eagerly awaiting the arrival of her line into the States.
