Inauguration Night at Miss Sixty - By: Katie Parfet, Style Editor On the eve of the much-anticipated Olympus Fashion week, Italian fashion label Miss Sixty held their inaugural runway show. Creative director Wichy Hassan sited the luxury of the 1970's for inspiration, cleverly woven into contemporary ensembles for Fall/Winter 2006. The collection included much military ready-to-wear with above the knee combat boots, decorated naval jackets, and caps. For a more feminine feel, Miss Sixty went tight all over, keeping with this season's reoccurring sexy silhouette. And then there were the jeans! Two pocket, four pocket, no pocket, long legged, cigarette styled, and still some slung low. Rarely has a high-end denim line been able to make the crossover to the fashion industry's major league, but Miss Sixty's signature denim has done it in style, with support from starlets like Natasha Bedingfield, Kimberly Stewart, Michelle Williams, Kelly Rowland, and Nelly Furtado in the front row.
