Kristen Abrahamsen - Founder & PublisherBorn and raised in sunny South Florida, Kristen received her degree in Communication from Florida State University. From a young age Kristen began filming home videos and making movies with her friends. She made her directing debut at the tender age of 11. This hobby eventually led her to focus her studies in Media Production. After graduating she returned to South Florida and started Media Icons, Inc. On her downtime, she enjoys soaking up the sun and hanging out with friends and family.
Luis Fernandez - Runway Photographer
Hailing from Venezuela, Luis Fernandez moved to Miami Beach out of a love for photography. With his talent recognized in the Miami Beach fashion scene, Luis set off to other countries and cities in search of fresh locations and new faces to shoot. New York, Milan, Asia, South/Central America and the Caribbean are some of the destinations he has worked. International fashion editorials, advertising, catalogues and model portfolios are among the jobs that keep Luis busy. Some of his more prominent clients include Sony Music International, L'Oreal, Harper's Bazaar and Vogue.
Dave Parsons - Backstage Photographer
Manhattan native Dave Parsons was born on Friday the 13th to an English father and a South African mother. Years in the downtown New York art and music scene have developed Dave's eye and taste for the abstract aesthetic. Now entrenched in the New York fashion scene, Dave continues to do editorial, commercial and artistic photography. With continuing work in South Africa, Europe and Australia, Dave keeps his clients happy and his shutter moving.
Katie Parfet - Editor in Chief
Native New Yorker Katie Parfet traded in her Manolos for cowboy boots when her family moved to Denver, where she finished high school. There she interned for the fashion editor of the Rocky Mountain News reporting on local designers and trends. College brought her to label-happy Dallas,Texas. Earning her BA at Southern Methodist University satisfied her passion for the written word in advertising, journalism, and creative writing classes. While down South, she worked for the marketing editor of D Magazine and the creative director for Neiman Marcus' "the book," gaining her access to major fashion houses. Upon graduation she moved back to the Big Apple to combine her interests. She currently resides in Brooklyn Heights, a cultural oasis for her writing, yet just a short cab ride away to Manhattan hot spots.
Stephanie Gioletti - Style Editor
A native to South Florida, Stephanie has always fancied fashion. She enjoys the artistic flare of apparel design and the true beauty and timelessness of style as a craft. In the pursuit of accomplishing her dreams of becoming a writer/ editor, Stephanie is currently double majoring in English: Creative Writing and Communications: Mass Media at Florida State University located in Tallahassee, Florida. She plans to attend Graduate School in New York and receive her Masters in Journalism. She aspires to eventually write for a magazine who provides coverage and analysis of fashion and beauty such as the world-renowned Harper's Bazaar. With extreme determination and motivation, Stephanie is looking forward to a future full of style and success!
